Placing an order

Adding an item to your basket and completing checkout is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send you a dispatch confirmation, not when you place the order or receive the order confirmation email.

We may decline or cancel an order if the item is out of stock, if there is a pricing or description error, if we cannot deliver to your address, or if we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we refund it in full.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in the currency selected at checkout and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise at checkout. Delivery costs are shown before you pay.

Customers outside the country of dispatch may be charged import duties or taxes by their local authority. Where these are not collected at checkout, they are your responsibility.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes do not affect orders already confirmed.

Product information

We describe our products as accurately as we can. Colours may appear differently on different screens, and measurements are approximate unless stated as exact. Product images are illustrative.

Your account

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity carried out under it. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

Acceptable use

You may not use the site to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, to upload malicious code, to scrape or harvest data, or to interfere with the security of the site.

Intellectual property

The Hedgerow Goods name, site design, text, photography, and video are ours or licensed to us, and may not be reproduced without written permission. Anything you submit to us — reviews, photographs, comments — may be used by us in connection with the store without payment, and you confirm you have the right to give us that permission.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

We are responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable, or for business losses.

UK customers: nothing here affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Australian customers: our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing here limits those guarantees.

Interruptions

We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or withdraw it for maintenance or for any other reason.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the seller is established, and disputes are subject to the courts of that country. This does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and does not prevent you from bringing proceedings in your own country's courts.

Changes

We may amend these terms. The version in force is the one published when you place your order.
